Ceil Chapman Couture Brocade New Look Dress c. 1950
Ceil Chapman is one of our favorite American couturiers. The craftsmanship is always impeccable and the construction is like that of a seasoned architect. This dress features a whimsical Janeses brocade featuring embroidered Geisha, scandalous for the 1950s. We love the box pleats that float away from the hips and the tightly tailored bodice.
